I got a card in the mail today that gives the Region 6 2009 Qualifying Shows. The first one is April 24-26 in Sioux Falls. I know I can't be the only amateur in this region!!! Funds were tight last year and I only got to one show. Things are going to be different this year and I'll be going to most of the Region 6 shows.
My name is Gail Ertel, I spent about 9 years breeding and showing Paints. My hubby, John, has me TOTALLY into Arabians now. We are starting a small breeding ranch and Fire is our Junior Stallion! He got first in his class at his one and only show and, as an ammy I got 2nd place with him my first time showing an Arabian.
I'm one of those older (57!!! omg am I really that old???) gals that was classically trained english hunter and dressage since age 8 and have been training my own horses for myself for about 30 years now. I am really looking forward to showing Fire, our Magnum Psyche granddaughter and our steel gray HA this year. Have trailer and semi to pull it and about ready to get it packed up for showing!!! Looking for other Ammy Army members to go to practice open shows with and to the Region 6 shows. Let's get the 6th Regiment going!!!!!
