Our client's mare Balihs Echo gave birth to a big beautiful colt this morning. I was told a tiny triangle of white on one hoof, small star and snip, lovely laid back shoulder and possibly black or black bay (huge for this mare as she only passes on her red/chestnut bay coloring)! Sorry, no pix yet! I'm going to try and run over before AHANC starts on Thursday to see him. Or will post pix if they email some to me first. I just wanted to share the great news! He is a purebred chestnut by our stallion, out of a double Gamaar mare by V G Elerros (*Erros), who is out of a *Zbrucz daughter on the bottom. We have this colt's 2008 full sister and she's turning out to be quite something! Mommy Elly (V G Elambra, 1997) was waxing yesterday so I put her in a foaling stall last night - voila, foal up and nursing when I arrived ... At about 12:15 she finally went down. At 12:19 this gorgeous little colt was born. I had to tear the bag open, it was so thick, but he was up on his feet and moving within 10 minutes. A nice strong 93% Arabian palomino colt! I am so pleased with how he turned out. He's got a bit of a blaze, and two low whites and two high whites (opposite feet from front to back).
