After what seemed like forever, waiting and watching - in the midst of a late March snowstorm in the Midwest - Sophie arrived.
She was born in the morning on March 29th - three days early, a gorgeous bay filly with a kiss of white on her forehead. Possible white sock also - we are still pondering that one. She has style, substance, a gorgeous tiny head, great neck, shoulder, and amazing legs. We are so very proud to have bred her. Sophie is by Stetson Bey (Bey Shah X Baskeena) and out of my Desperado V daughter, Desperana (X Aberjahna). I suspect she'll be a black bay - her dam was the same color, and she's so much like her full brother, Antonio Bey - owned by XL Arabians.
Sweeps Nominated, Iowa Gold Star.
Welcome to the world, darling - we have waited for you for so long. You made our hearts sing and smile with your arrival, even on a cold, nasty day in Wisconsin.
