Got the call this morning. Our client's mare Balihs Echo gave birth to a big beautiful colt this morning. I was told a tiny triangle of white on one hoof, small star and snip, lovely laid back shoulder and possibly black or black bay (huge for this mare as she only passes on her red/chestnut bay coloring)!

Sorry, no pix yet! I'm going to try and run over before AHANC starts on Thursday to see him. Or will post pix if they email some to me first. I just wanted to share the great news!

Congrats! I wish my mare would hurry and foal so I can get my baby fix! I can't wait to see pics!

He actually belongs to our good friends, Shadow Oak Arabians. Thank you. He is really cute. Can't wait to see what his color will be!

We are waiting very impatiently for our foals. Looks like our lease mare will probably go first. Will post pix when our little filly (crossing fingers) arrives.

I had a great big surprise this morning when I went out to feed. Our lease mare JMA One Magic Moment had foaled! She had given no indication that she was ready. We were expecting another 3 or 4 days. No relaxation, swelling, wax or milk, etc.

So...Brins and Molly produced a beautiful, healthy chestnut colt! This is our first chestnut baby, so we are excited as I fell in love with the chestnuts at Scottsdale this year. It will be interesting to see if he stays light or will darken up some.

Yea, it was a rather nice surprise. Especially since the little guy is healthy and momma is doing well. I think I'll be on foal watch tonight. MP Aspen (Mark of Fame dtr) is due today and looks as if she might be getting ready. She is a maiden and is a little funny about her back end/tail. Although she let me scratch and rub her butt and legs just a little bit ago.

Our mare MP Aspen finally foaled! On the evening of Mother's Day! We've had a couple of rough days. She retained the placenta, so we've been hauling her over to the vet clinic for days to have her flushed. She finally passed it and has been cleared. Will stay on antibiotics for a few more days.

Now for the good part! Aspen foaled a gorgeous, typey filly by our Jr stud MF Khafaz Fahim!
