New Ammy Army member from Region 12, in NC

Greetings from NC. I read the article in "Modern Arabian Horse" about the Ammy Army and what a wonderful idea!
Both of my were in the Army. I was 13 years old when he retired. I am now 49 (yikes.)
I own 4 arabians. My first horse a grey mare who is now 23!!!
3 geldings, one is 8 and my mares son, a 9 year old gelding who is heading for Tulsa tomorrow with the trainer, and a 4 yr old that was a gift from a dear friend. He is going to be my next western horse.

I always have been a do it yourself -er until a few years ago when I realized I just wasn't placing like I wanted to and need professional help. The first trainer I every used was when I lived in Missouri. He taught me so much.
I now use a trainer in Suffolk, Va. I am able to learn so much from them and then bring it home and use the knowledge on the horse who live with me.

I miss the days when all my ammy friends and I would meet up at a show and have a whole row of stalls and we'd have the best time!
I will admit after getting older I don't miss the work it took as much! I will have to go back eventually do a do in yourself-er. So I am glad I found you all!
