Hello from Edmonton Alberta

I currently own two SE SOF horses. Whether or not either of them can be shown in any discipline remains to be seen. One was purchased already injured as a broodmare... the other, my stallion, was purchased to do some performance with. Unfortunately at 19 months old he broke his pelvis. While he has healed sound, whether or not he can do some level of performance or whether or not I even ride him (I am beyond paranoid with him) is up in the air right now. So, it will likely be the first baby I show.

However, I figure I can also get some conditioning tips... which would be good for both my horses... and hopefully meet a few more local arab people.

Sorry to hear your woes! I to am new to the site, so I thought I would say hello.
I was just given a 10 year old Arab mare, who is really only 2 years by her manners. I would love to keep in touch to see how you come along with your two. Years ago, an abused horse was let at our barn with a broken sesmoid bone. He was a frightning mess. He turned out to be a gentleman and sound taboot!

Thanks... although I really don't consider them woes per se... not now anyway. Although when my boy injured himself I sure did. This was a year and a half ago that he injured himself. He now runs, plays, bucks, rears, and climbs all over his two pasture mates at the stable. Most people can't see much of anything wrong with him, even though I see it glaringly. Honestly, it gave me a chance to see how much heart and try he has in him.

As for the mare, I bought her knowing she had the injury and she was always intended to be a broodmare, but I loved her bloodlines. As it turns out, she may end up being riding sound... if never show sound.
