What is planned for 2012? Empty

I have been fortunate enough to win a 1/2 price breeding to Hucks Connection V, so I will be breeding my mare Blaze to him in 2012, for a 2013 "lucky" foal.

Blaze is registered as BSH Set The WorldAfire and is sired by Afire Bey V. Her Dam is Sophistigaited Lady, who is sired by Alimah Justice out of an equally wonderfully bred Saddlebred Mare.

I'm hoping for an English foal, with Huck's disposition that I can do the foundation training on here at home!

Does anyone else have plans this far in advance yet?

I have pruchased multiple breeedings to Afire Bey V for my Brass daughters, so I will be breeding to Afire Bey this year and next. (Hoping for that magic Brass/Afire Bey combination that created Afire's Heir...) I am debating beyond this year for my other mare. She will be bred to my stud this year, but next year, I hope to have him sold. Maybe Besson Carol?

Kristen-I am so glad my friend found you! I foaled out DLS Sassabrass and still have the mare. I sold her to Cedar Ridge as a yearling. I had so hoped they would keep her and not sell her so I could keep track of her. I was heartbroken when I heard they were selling her. BUT it seems she is in a great place with you. I have a very interesting story about how I ended up with her mother and how Sassy came about-other than the obvious way of breeding:) I also have her "baby" pictures if you are interested in them. Please email me if you want to know more!
shadebartime@hotmail.com-please put in the subject line Sassy- so I can find it in my junk mail.
Looking forward to sharing the story!

I just want to enjoy my gelding and show him. Some halter and maybe a little bit of liberty here and there. We've got a full year ahead of us to piddle around with until he is professionally started under saddle at the age of 3. Wink

We may be breeding my homozygous black Ansata Halima Son granddaughter to Sanskrit for a hopefully gray foal. At any rate, it depends on if I get a filly out of her in 3 months as she is currently in foal. If I do, then she will not be bred for 2012. It is up to good 'ole mother nature and the traditional coin toss as to whether or not I'll get my filly. Think pink.

cheers
