Hello from Frederick, MD

Hi, everyone. My name is Merrie Aiken. My husband Ed and I own Cedar Ridge Farm Egyptian Arabians, now in Frederick. MD. We stand Imperial ImSirdar (Ansata Imperial X Imperial Sonbesjul) and his son Cedars Mojave (X RSA Sahra Nazeem). Sirdar is a retired dressage horse; he won three championships at the 2002 Egyptian Event in a driving rainstorm. Mojave was Top Ten last year at the Event, after only two training sessions. Can't wait to see what he will do after training! He's being conditioned under saddle.

Ed and I used to show amateur halter in the 1980s and 1990s. I showed a Sirdar daughter and granddaughter for years Class A and at the Event. I would like to show halter again, but we focus more on sport horse now. We have an equestrian center offering dressage, hunter/jumper, and cross country. We've had a sport horse clinic here, and are in the middle of a series of progressive dressage clinics.

Your name is familiar from when I worked at the Pyramid Society.

Hi, Caryn. The stallion in the avatar is Cedars Mojave (Imperial ImSirdar X RSA Sahra Nazeem). He showed at the Egyptian Event last year, and earned a Top Ten (6th out of 16) after only two training sessions. Imagine what he'll do this year after real training! We are lifetime members of the Pyramid Society, so I'm sure we met at some point. Merrie Aiken
