| Hello All from the East Coast!! I have recently joined ammy army and am interested in finding others that show sport horse, anglos or that will be attending AHANE this year. I have posted many other topics related to this but have had very limmited responces. I also want anyone competing on the east coast or Region 16 know that I am a great french braider, and will gladly help anyone learn how to do it! Also if anyone needs a braider at any of these shows let me kno, I do not braid pulled manes, I have not done it in years and was never quite good at it to begin with!
I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the SHIH 2 and under at AHANE. Is it usually a larger or class or smaller? Thanks and hope to speak with everyone soon! Shana Quinn

| Hi Shana!
I hopefully will be going to AHANE this year so long as I can get Miss sound. I work with Donna (the pres of AHANE), so I can ask her how the SHIH has been over the past couple years. I plan on helping her work the show when I'm not in the ring with Miss =)
Now all I gotta do is borrow Donna's trailer to get my pony to the show or hitch a ride as I only have a truck lol

| Well I am sooo glad that you have joined ammy army. Christina and I have been discussing how we would really like to beef up our Region, and get all like minded individuals together, in a positive manner! We are planning on order some Ammy Army drapes and setting up an area at AHANE, for everyone to meet up or to be stabled together. If you would be interested in something like that please let me know! I really hope you can get and keep your girl sound, she really sounds amazing!!! I am also VERY excited about your anglo baby! I have a yearling anglo filly, she is just amazing. She stands about 14.1 right now, has amazing athletic gaits. I really can not wait for her to grow up, as much as I love this stage, I really can not wait for her to be undersaddle. Are you at an Arab barn, or by yourself? I am very excited for this show season, and can not wait to get to know everyone better!! | |

| When I lived in RI I had Miss at Rick Thell's place. The thoroughbred I'm leasing is actually Cynthia's big bodied mare (she looks like a mini holsteiner lol). Right now I'm at a friends barn they show QH reiners and Eventers so I'm the only Arab there! But the barn absolutely loves her; she is probably in the best condition she has been in since I moved up to New England!
I would love to meet up with you guys at AHANE (praying I can get her sound, I'm taking her upto Dover, NH to get checked out by Dr. Davis hopefully this month). Even if I don't take Miss I definately will help out and be the groom and braider! Possibly we could stall together if I take the Miss (then none of us have to be alone =P)?
What's the breeding on your filly? She sounds like a ton of fun!
Where was Del having everyone get the custom drapes anyway? I will have to see if I can get the drapes through my work (through Dover).
You going to all the Big E shows this year? I wish I could, but money is a bit too tight with that foal due in May.
Yay for spring and the ushering in of show season!
Cheers! Shannon | |

| We are hoping to have the drapes and all show together, and stable together!! It will help with the cost of tack stall, if we split them! I have posted another thread in our Region 16 topic area, check it out! We also have till June 1st to send everything in and get everyone situated...so I will be keeping my figures crossed for Miss!
Her mum (lol) is a TB....May Go North, which has some Native Dancer breeding further back. Her dad is a Egyptian Arab....Akdar Brins....Mortavazi Farms is the one that owns him, an where I bought her!
TJ is about 14-14.1 hands the last time she was measure, but she really looks like she has gotten bigger!! Her full brother is standing 15.3 as a two year old, so I think she is gonna be a BIG girl. She is tons of fun and I love her too pieces! She is soo athletic, and has such amazing gaits, she does flying lead changes out in the pastures. She is also extremely smart...sometimes I think for her own good. I love the age she is but I also can not wait for her to grow up, so I can ride her!! LOL Talk to you soon!
Dont forget to check out that other post!

| If you know of anyone going through Syracuse,Ny that Rana and I could hitch a ride with. Please let me know. I also have to save money up to enter and everything. I'm really bad! I havent even registered Rana under my boyfriend/mine name! We want to change her show name.(Dawns Dee Lite) It does not fit her at all. She came with the barn name "Sunny". She's a bay people and her personality is not even sunny its more on the dark side! Dont get me wrong, she is lovable. Just not a peppy perky pony. I will try to help anyway I can. Shoot I'll even do stalls if you want me too. I will say I'm an expert at that. Hope to hear more! | |
