Hello from So Cal

Hey everyone!
I finally got around to signing up for the website! I'm sort of taking a break from showing at the moment, and concentrating on college, but it doesn't stop me from making the rounds at Scottsdale, and regionals!
I started showing horses in 1995, and started showing arabians in 96. At that time I was also showing morgans. I decided to stick with the arabs, and have been playing with them ever since. Halter and Western are my "things", I'll ride hunters here and there. I've shown in just about every discipline, except for reining/working cow and sport horse stuff. I sold most of the horses and focused on school in 2005, my last year as a youth. I'm currently working towards my BA in kinesiology, and then my DO in chiropractic.
My HA gelding is semi-retired, and waiting for my neice and nephew to make their debut in the show ring. I've started trail riding him, and he's still thinking I'm out to get him.
I also have a foundation QH mare that I've been playing with, I got her in september and she wasn't even halter broke. It's been a challenge, they sure aren't as smart as the arabs...
Who know's what the future holds, with the market like this I may end up with another show horse sooner than I thought!

Hay and Welcome. School got in the way with me too but, it pays off in the long run. For four years I had to take a break from showing. It really sucked becasue I felt like I was missing out. I had bad withdrawals and wanted to show. I swear it is a "show bug" and it never leaves after you have had it. You will get through it! Cheers from Canada.
