Looking for a Shoer! Empty
PostSubject: Looking for a Shoer!   Looking for a Shoer! EmptyMon May 11, 2009 7:10 pm

Ok, all you in Arizona around Phoenix, I need some recommendations for a new shoer. My horses are arriving this weekend and I'm going to need a shoer pretty soon for my Appy gelding. Yup, threw a shoe just before the big haul!!! To be honest, I HATE looking for a good shoer!!!LOL Have to be extremely patient for an old broodmare that has been in horrific accident some time in her life. She's 24. Her legs are a mess!!! And she can't take too much as far as holding them up for long, so somebody has to understand her needs and not get rough with her. The one gelding is going to need Arabian shoes for Western Pleasure before the end of the year and of course my Appy needs WP shoeing for the stock type horses, as well. So a well rounded shoer is a must. Oh, and reliable!!!LOL Coming from Northern Nevada, let me tell you, they are not that reliable!!!! We've had a fantastic guy work on our horses, but he's about as reliable as the weather. So I understand frustration when it comes to getting feet done. Don't want to have to deal with that now that I'm down here.

So let me know who all of you are using and what the credentials are, like certified, etc.

Mary S.
