"Ringo" as he is affectionately called, is looking for a forever home. He is a very, very small HA Arapp colt. He was foaled in 2004, so maybe stallion is more appropriate. He is a shocking white with large black peacock spots. His mane and tail are also a shocking white and very thick. He is about 13.2 and will not be any bigger. He is by Ben Rahhabie (a Dreamazon grandson) and out of an few spot Appaloosa mare, Ha Dar Honey Bar (a grandaughter of Ha Dar Honey). Her lines trace back to Joker 3 Bars and her bottom side is also Thoroughbred. His sire's line traces back to BF Rageymazon and Sureyn, very old lines.
Ringo has not been handled much, but does have most of his ground work started. He would make a great 4-H project or a wonderful companion once he is gelded. He is not without some issues, but they can be worked with. He loads, cross ties, baths, and will tolerate some clipping. He is good for the shoer, too.
My daughter is willing to place him for free to the right home. She is facing some medical issues that will make it impossible for her to continue working with him for some time. She is scheduled for surgery on her upper spine/base of her skull-brain, in the next few weeks, so a home for him is curcial at this time. She is trying to liquidate most of her horses in order to help with the cost of feed, which right now is in depserate need of, so any of you in the Nevada area that can help, please let me know!
Please PM me for more info and I will also give you her contact information. Please, if anyone out there is looking for a great little project, contact me ASAP!

| Edited to add on the first post: her other option is euthanasia for this little guy as she is not willing to see him end up in a bad situation like has happened with his half sister. We almost lost her to a sale that then was going to run her through the sale yard for slaughter. We were not able to save his other half sister, so this is a decision that is not taken lightly.
Not trying to set anyone into a panic, she just doesn't have many options with her current situation.
Thanks all for any help you can give her right now.

| Thank you. He is scheduled for euthanasia Monday, so if anyone can get in touch with Gen to help save him, that would be wonderful. He isn't perfect, so I want to make sure everyone knows that. His dam is also being put down because she is now fully blind and suffering from too much pain from other old injuries. She suffered a tremendous amount of abuse at the hands of a "trainer" when she was younger, before I bought her. She is now in her 20's and it has caught up with her. We are extremely sad to lose "Honey", but she is suffering and it's time.
Gen is scheduled for surgery the first of September in CA so things have to be in order before she goes in. She is looking at a time frame of at least 2 weeks in intensive care and then we'll all take it from there. Hopefully, they will get all of the growth and we can breath again.
Again, if any one can help this little horse, please contact the email above and I'm sure Gen will work something out.

| Hi Stacy, He's in Fallon, NV. The best one to contact is Gen at her email address: sailor.moon.2@hotmail.com Thank you for putting the word out. She is pretty upset about having to do this, but she is adimit that he not be taken and then not wanted to end up in a slaughter truck. He is very, very, very small. Not even 13.2 hands. And because he is still intact, no one is interested. He also has a tooth issue that the vets will look at. I've asked her to have her do an evaluation and maybe hold off, but she is out of options right now. Mary S. | |

| Poor little guy. He could maybe do well for a 4H project or sport pony type? We're actually looking at breeding a 14.1 hand mare next year to a German Riding Pony (13.2 ish). I'll go in and post to the Arabian Sport Pony club. | |

| Thank you Stacy. I'm still working on getting her to hold off for a little bit on him. Hopefully we can find him a home. She's just very worried about someone not taking care of him and getting hurt or run through a sale yard that ends in the slaughter house. After loosing his half sister to that, she's very afraid for him and felt this was the most humane thing to do. He's a very pretty guy, but needs to be gelded for sure. She got his ground work done, but has not been able to continue with getting him broke and he is a little on the hot side sometimes. He LOVES people and that's what makes this so heartbreaking for me and her and he's quite the looker with that startling white coat and the black spots. And on top of having to put his poor old mama down because of the blindness and pain she is in right now. Just too much!
Please contact her if something comes up this weekend. Or PM me and I'll give you her cell number.
Again, thank you for putting the word out.

| To any one who's considering it, I had a HA/App and he was the BEST horse I ever had. I did everything with him, from Class A shows to trail rides! I would be taking him in a second if I had the room to do so! I wish you lots of luck and I'll be spreading the info! | |

| Thank you!
He is such a cute little guy! Has the Arabian features, but the Appy coloring.
I do have to say, that Gen received a couple of emails this morning, but they weren't exactly nice. So if anyone out there is truly interested, please leave a name and a contact and don't judge her for this situation! She doesn't need any more stress, OK? She is very torn up about this whole thing and being judged or snapped at by others isn't helping. Also, with the medical issue she has, any stress causes swelling in her brain and she then has seizures, so please, don't judge or cause her any more stress. This is hard enough and she doesn't need it. It there is someone that wants to ask questions, then PM me and I'll try to get them to you. Believe me, I will be perfectly honest with you about his situation and what he needs. We don't believe in leaving things out because in the end, the horse suffers and she's had that happen enough to her horses. It's why she would rather put him down than see him abused or hurt. Period.
Thank you,
Mary S. | |

So he is a candidate for a double registry. Mary S. | |

Doesn't help to have others on your case when you already are down about things.
Gen has gone home for the day, so anyone that wants to get more info on him, please email me at whiteroseranch_21@msn.com. She has good days and then very bad ones and today is a bad one. She does not have internet at home any more, so only can get to her mail at her job.

| Update: Ringo has been given a short reprieve, so anyone still interested, please send an email to Gen. And PLEASE!, no judging, K? If you are truly interested in him, give her some info on yourself and not just where the H... is the horse located, or "Nevada is a big state..."., and other comments other than giving her a reason to turn him over to you just because he's up for adoption.
Thanks! Mary | |

| I am glad he found a home. Last year, I ran into the same problem. Two good H/A horses, papers and sweeps were going to go for meat. I called everyone I could. No takers, so I got the money together and picked them both up. Kept them for a year, and did some training and then found them good homes. I did loose money on the deal, couldn't really afford to do it. ( I couldn't affort to show that year) But, they were given a second chance. | |

| Glad there are still some out there willing to step up and help out another owner in trouble.
Ringo will have his work cut out for him, but I know that this facility will give him the best chance. They have taken in some pretty bad cases and found great homes for them when they are done. So I'm confident he will be loved and given a job to do which he really needs and will be taken care of until he either finds a new home or he will stay there.
Thanks to everyone that sent the word out about him and I will keep you all posted on Gen's progress as she heads into getting this problem with her spine taken care of. The only sad thing is to loose Ringo's dam Tuesday. She is in such pain that it's time. She cannot see to find her food and water and her eyes are so painful that she rubs them until they bleed, even on the pain medication. So it's time to send her over the Rainbow Bridge to a better pasture. Ha Dar Honey Bar will be a peace and not in pain.

| Thank you Christina! "Honey Bunny" will be sorely missed. She came to us after I lost my big H/A gelding to a twist. She was a tough mare to deal with at times as far as riding her, but her name fit her well. We didn't know it at the time, but she was suffering from poor eyesight from all the abuse she suffered at the hands of the "trainer" she was with before she came to us. Even through it all, she won a lot of buckles and awards on the open show circuits and placed fairly well at the ApHC circuit shows, in HUS and even over fence, if you can believe that! She also did some gaming and some western when she could handle being "turned loose" with the reins. She seemed to want to have that direct contact in order to feel comfortable with you up there. She also gave us 4 very nicely colored foals, 2 fillies and 2 H/A colored colts. The last one is Ringo who was our different colored boy compared to his brothers and sisters. The other 3 were all chestnuts with blankets. He is the only one that is bay and leopard. Quite a shock when he hit the ground!LOL She was a great momma and had no foaling issues at all.
I will pass your message on to my daughter and hope it will ease some of the pain of loosing this great mare.
