Thanks, your boy is very handsome. I just realized that Rana's head looks huge in both pics of her in the stall. Rana is doing great under saddle. I am finally getting a great jog out of her on the lunge line. I'm still working on my confidence u/s. But We have walk/trot/canter so far and injuries, on either parts. lol THe little girl in the pic is a friend os mine's daughter. Rana intorduced her to the equine world and now is giving pony rides to her. I think Rana loves doing it!

How are you and your boy doing?

Oh that sounds great... no worries you'll get your confidence back. Just go on your own time. Don't you just love having a horse you can trust around little kids. And Rana's head is LOVELY ... Khon's head looks big at times too if you catch it at the right angle.

We're both doing good ... I was supposed to get my brace off on the 30th but my surgeon was on vaca so I have to wait until the 10th ... I just stopped wearing it for things like going out to dinner and things that won't possibly injure it but I deffinately wear the brace to the barn.
Khon's fighting a really bad case of Mud Fever but so are like half the other horses at the barn. But otherwise he's happy and calm and enjoying the non working life...
Not that that will be continuing much longer. Gotta get him prepped for being put to work this fall/winter

Shhhh don't say that word yet .... Fall hasn't even happened ... though the damn leaves are already starting to change Sad On the plus side it should be a really pretty fall ... on the down side I won't be able to trail ride so that'll be a bummer.
I'm not to worried about the brace... it'll be off in a few days ... I can wait till thursday :-)
Actually prep training with Khon is annoying because he learns things so friggin quickly and then never forgets it. The only thing he has yet to learn is ground driving but we were starting it just before I broke my leg. It actually worked out to our benefit because I didn't know what else to teach him and I can only repeat things soo much with him before he gets bored and if he gets bored he gets .... IDK he doesn't get annoyed but he gets kinda silly I think he's got horsey ADD or something.

Hmm Khon and Rana must be related lol I swear Rana has ADD. That's why she got the name she has. Rana means to gaze in arabic. Everytime I see her in her pasture she is always looking at something. You'll be back in the saddle in no time! I have yet to take Rana on a trail ride yet. I have to get someone to go with me. I'm afraid now to ride without someone at the barn. Please keep me updated on yours and Khon's progress!

Yup they must be related.
Can't say that I blame you in the least ... I deffinately won't work Khon without someone at the farm now...

UGH boy o boy do I have my work cut out for me ... Khon's a good boy ... most times ... the farrier came out to work on him ... the 3rd time he's ever had his feet done .. and he's good till a point. Then he gets bored and adjitated and just plain bad babyish. After we're done my farrier takes him out and lunges him .. OMG Khon was kicking at the farrier and trying to run him over .. He NEVER has done that before *shakes head* I'm almost nervous to start working him again .. he's deffinately going to be one of those that if I start up his training I'm gunna have to keep up with it. Hopefully he'll settle down once he' gets under saddle .... that's a bit more work than just a quick lunge lesson every day.

I am gonna attach a link to TJs new shots. I can not believe how big she is!!!! You will be able to her from a baby baby till now! I took some pictures of her today out in horsey heaven aka the one acre hay field that she has all to herself! (Umm yeah can not figure out how to put pictures in here LOL) Khon looks great! I really love his color, I think TJ and him look a lot alike. He is egyptian bred right?? They could actually be related! Rana looks awesome as well!!!!!
I am glad that you are doing a lot better and are getting your brace off soon. Are you on FB?? Let me know what you think of the pictures!

Awwww crap .. can't view the pics unless we're friends .... I sent a friend request ;-)
THE BRACE IS OFF!!! FREEDOM!!! the only time my surgeon would like me to wear it is at the barn ... which I'm ok with since Khon's latest "toys" seems to be shoelaces... pulls em right out from under you and then wonders why you're on your arse. Very cute and annoying. Hopefully I'll be riding with permission in 2 months ... I'm aiming for another month ... but if I'm not ready I'll wait.
Khon is Straight Egyptian, it's quite possible they're related.
Here's his pedigree
Clicky Clicky hehe

He's a bit bleached out here in those pics. I took him off the paprika and then just never put him on anything else lol.
I'm praying I can sit on him a few more times before winter but I need to redo his training since he seems to have "forgotten" all his manners and lessons over the last 3 months.. little sh*&
