| Not, that I'm planning to breed her anytimes soon ---- but, I was wondering if y'all could tell me about the horses in her pedigree. I'm a novice, but it looks to me like she is mostly Egyptian breeding. Her bottom half is made up of very old lines as her mother was 25 when she was foaled.
Here's her pedigree on allbreed pedigree - http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/thee+night+serranade
Take a look and share with me anything you know about any of the horses. I'm looking forward to learning everything I can. Thanks!

| if it were me I would breed her to something smooth with alot of body looking at her pedigree, a horse maybe line breed to aladdinn, he is known for having the smoothest bodied horses, and it carrys through very well. | |

| Actually she's less Egyptian than domestic/crabbett. And after you work her a bit and get a little muscle on her, she'll be rather cute.
Let's see - paternal grandsire - egyptian...lots of good old horses there. Paternal granddam - Khemosabi on a Rochambeau (Bask) daughter - a polish/domestic kind of mix that produced a lot of good atheletes. Maternal grandsire - several Crabbet stars. Gay Rose is an Aristocrat Mare (produced many champions) and Sureyna Su was a super show mare in her day. Azraff and Gai Rouge were both big-timers in their day. Azraff is picked up again on the maternal granddam's pedigree. Fadl produced some great broodmares.
She should be a nice, sweet, useable little mare.

| Rebecca and Audie, you have to hover over the little box at the top of the pedigree next to her name, then a window pops open with her photo. Unfortunately, I don't know when that photo was taken, but she looks a lot better in it than she does right now. She, for all intents and purposes, was starved. Her back bone has absolutely know muscle or fat next to it whatever and sticks up a good 4-5 inches. Her feet are very over grown and I have a farrier coming to trim her in the next few days. She is blind in one eye, which is a very blue marbled color and is almost double the size of her left eye. However, she is very smart and has settled in as the queen bee of the place, ruling over Blaze, the cow and the two goats with equal authority. She does not spook at anything that makes noise or moves and fairly readily loaded in the trailer to come home. It is my hope to rehab her and train her to ride. While doing so, I'm thinking she may be my mare's companion at the shows. (Especially if Blaze will ride in the trailer with this little mare!) It's nice to know that she was worth saving pedigree-wise. Maybe someday, when she's in better physical shape, she can have a little one for me. | |

| Oh man - poor little girl - she is very lucky to have found a home with you. She deserves to be treated like a "queen bee" after all she has been through. | |
