We returned yesterday from the Colorado Classic in Denver, and it was a great start to our show season! Classic hosts the NSH District 6 championships, as well as being a multi-breed show (Arabians, Saddlebreds, Morgans and open classes). I was very encouraged watching and participating in the 1/2 Arab CEP classes. The horses chosen were generally well-mannered, and did their jobs without hitting knees to chins. In my AAOTR CEP class everyone got through the class without problems, so the judge COULD have chosen the higher-stepping horses. She did not -she chose Dan, who is a true country horse - well mannered, classy, and without tons of knee. We had a number of classes during the show, and they all went well. However, CEP is my true love and I couldn't be happier with our class AND the outcome. It gives me encouragement that our judges are taking Stan's directions to heart. I am really looking forward to the next show and then regionals.
