| I know it takes 2 points to reach Regionals and 10 points to reach National. If I can glean 10 points on my boy at all the Regional shows, does he have to go to Regional Championship show or would the 10 points automatically qualify him for Nationals?

| Unless it's changed since I was showing a lot (10 years ago!), 10 points is 10 points. You do not have to go to Regionals to show at Nationals. I used to pick up my points at local Class As, and then skip Regionals to save up money for Nationals. And that's my plan currently as well--if Cisco gets his qualifications at Class A shows and I decide to take him to Nationals, we'll skip Regionals and put that money towards Nationals. | |

| Given how small classes are it may be very expensive to put those 10 points together. LOLl...today it may take you 10 shows to put it together. That is what the ARMY is about...getting people in the ring at ALL shows. | |

| Well, I may have to put showing Fire on the back burner for another year Hubby still hasn't gotten a paycheck since January, so I guess I'll just be working with the horses, getting Fire under saddle, Andromeda (our HA out of an El Hilal granddaughter and our Morgan stallion) under saddle and halter training Psync instead of showing this year. (thank you, Mr. President) Hubby owns a sawmill and none of the suppliers are buying right now. Will have to wait until June to see if the lumber business picks back up, or hubby gets another job. There is a very distinct possibility we may be moving to Region 8, to Whitney, NE. Will be going to look at a property down there in the next week or so, lease option on 40 acres w/house and outbuildings for the stallions....mares can be out in the pasture until we get a barn w/indoor arena erected! Another Arab owner neighbor of ours owns it and would rather have US in the place. We are great at putting up hay and our neighbor has two ranches in Nebraska and doesn't like the way the person that is doing the hay leaves it lay in the field too long. This may be a good thing and I'll let everyone know what's up when I find out! Region 6 cancelled the Sioux Falls show, in case anyone else was thinking of going. They only had 46 entries and would have lost $17,000 with so few entries. Hence, the show was cancelled. Gail | |

| that would be amazing - - and at the very least I bet you can get 2 - 3 from each region I was lucky when I first got into arabians that the area I lived in had tons of amateurs. and we did something similar with showing so that we would always have friends around to help each other and cheer. Plus the local club had what were called "mini-shows" ....... a series of shows each year, much like the community shows, and we could all attend these and do a lot of practicing for less than the class A or regional shows. | |

| 2 from each region is still 36 and would be a string that would require multiple rows:) | |
