My mare is red chestnut. So you think I should wait to body clip her? I don't want that just clipped look. I want her to get that pretty shiny chestnut look.

Do you body clip your guys? I know greys you do one week before.

And thank you for the exercise regiment on FB. I started it this morning and boy did my mare get a work out. Foam coming out from under the neck sweats. It was awesome!!!

Yes, I clip mine about a week out. I would still wait until a couple of weeks out before clipping your girl. ELBOW grease will take care of that shine;)

Thanks, I'm using a rubber curry on her and she is shedding out... Keeping lights on her also. After the rubber curry I'm using the stiff brush and then a soft brush. If she keeps on shedding might not body clip her at all but just do her show clip...

Also, has anyone contacted you to let you know where our stalls are? If they do can you let me know and vice versa. We need to order our shavings and hay.

No one has contacted me on stall locations. There was an order form for shavings and feed in your National Omnibus.

Yep got the order form just didn't know where to tell the feed store to deliver them to. Guess they will have the stall chart. We better order up...LOL

Safe and sound in Tulsa. We are in the QUICKTRIP CENTER: Row QS-14. GREAT LOCATION and we are with the big barns.

One issue though....We only have 7 stalls. With four horses we should have 8 if everyone bought the extra. That being said....We will not be able to have a hospitality room. 4 horses in four stalls with feed, grooming, and tack occupying the other three.

Dimitri, Julie and I went in on one tack stall. Unfortunately we were unable to afford a tack stall per horse. We could probably combine the grooming/tack stall don't you think?? I really want to have a hospitality stall and if we need to fork over some more money to compensate those who paid for one stall per horse we can do that. Let me know what you think.

I remember asking you a while back if we needed 2 tack stalls because Pam and I always get one and share. You said that was OK, so do we need to get another tack stall? Sorry if we did not understand what you were saying but I think we can combine the tack and grooming area. I certainly do not have much tack for showing halter. I can also keep my tack in my truck or trailer if necessary. I think the hospitality stall still needs to be set up. This is my first time at Nationals.

With four horses we have three left over. Hospitality, Feed and Tack/Prep will work out just fine. I think I have a plan worked out where the Hospitality room serves as the dressing room as well. Still trying to wake up....lol

We can't get another stall so in leu of that, that money can be spent on mulch, flowers, etc:)

Oh stop it. There is nothing to feel bad about. Things will all balance out. I bought mulch today along with lumber to put the drapes up. Perhaps you can buy extra bedding to be put down in the center aisle? Be safe on your trips and GET HERE!!!!!! An Army of ONE is no Army.......lol

Thing we could use: Coolers (for drinks like BEER), chairs, tables and a wicker couch would be perfection.....lol

AND STALL MATS for the prep room!!!!!

Well we can bring most of the stuff. Will look for a wicker couch when we get there. Will have to check on getting stall mats. How many do we need? What is the ground on the stall floor? Is it concrete or dirt? Also do you know if you can put a coffee pot in the hospitality room??

Floors are dirt. Need 8X8 worth of stall mats. Yes, I wired the hospitality room so a coffee pot will work:)

A bit bored right now. Things will pick up once the short starts and of course when you guys get here.

I wonder if the roll out type of rubber mats will work. Alot less weight then the thick 4/6 mats.
Thanks for the info on the coffee pot. I had read in the rules that no electrical devices allowed in the stall area. That they will be confiscated. Oh well if they take the Mr. Coffee no big loss. LOL.
Also read on FB about the attempted theft of your diesel. Glad you caught them. We heard that we should keep stuff locked up at Tulsa.
We'll bring the party with us and liven up the place!!

I just saw someone this morning with a water heater and plenty of barns have refrigerators. Roll out mats will be fine:)

OK good, then we will bring the ice machine and coffee pot. Will also bring 2 tables, chairs and look for the wicker couch or buy one there. That sounds like a plan. Pam is going to bring the mat which will work even though it won't be thick like regular stall mat's. We didn't want to bring to much stuff as we will be leaving on Friday. Sorry we couldn't be there until Sunday. I have been on-call and our work schedules just wont allow us to leave. We are so excited!!

Also made stall cards. Didn't know if you wanted one. I'll post one on your wall and let me know if you want one.
