| So far, 3 farms representing 3 different breeding programs will be invading Waco this July under the Ammy Army curtains. I'll be the point of contact for sending in our entries, ensuring we're all together. As the year goes on, we hope to get other horses qualified and watch our numbers grow! | |

| How do you know if your points from last year rolled over? As you know we have had to cancel most of the shows we were going to. So we may have to rely on last years points. Tootie came in 1st last year in a class of 8 in SHIH mares ATH, so do these points still apply? I thought points were for 2 years. | |

| Yes, your points are still good and you are set. I have never seen anywhere where you can actually be told by AHA officially that you are qualified..like an online verfication process. I would say if you have any question, print a copy of your AHA show record and send that to them to ensure you are good to go. | |

| We're rockin and rollin with our plans for SHR9. Please let me know if you would like to join us! So far I have 4 farms that have verfied with me already. I have 3 others that have expressed interest but no firm commitment as of yet. Based on discussions, if all of us turn out we what we HOPE to bring, we will have 10 horses representing the AA. I have been intouch with Bill Eash to let him know we're coming. | |

| Hi Natalie, I am looking forward to going to SHR 9 and representing Ammy Army. I'm only bringing one of my mares with me. Would like to donate to the R9 Ammy Army stall curtains. Will talk to you about it at the Spindletop show in May!! Also as for checking your qualifying points. I believe you can go to www.arabianhorses.org and check your points. After you sign in go to horse reports and there should be a place to check them. See ya soon, Pam | |

| My Region is behind the times. We have Region 17 all classes together. No seperate Sport Horse Championships. They do have the classes but spread out over the week. Wish they would split it up becasue the show runs too long. Far too long for my pocket book to handel. Hotels, etc | |

| I wasn't even aware that other regions DIDN'T break up SH from Regular Regionals. I only recently realized it as I was looking at pix from R7. From my experience, SHR9 is usually pretty quiet and low-stress atmosphere. I wish there were more vendors though! | |

| Does anyone know of a good stopping point along Hwy 75? I'm bringing two horses down to Waco from KS. It will be about an 8 hour one way haul, and I'd like to stop and unload the boys about half way through. We'll be coming straight down Hwy 75...and would like to stop somewhere around the TX/OK border and unload the horses for 30 min or so--to stretch their legs, cough the crud up out of their lungs, and get a drink (I have no doubt it will be miserably hot!). | |

| At this point I'm planning on bringing down my 2 yo colt for the jackpot class. I haven't been able to show him due to the inclement weather (no training) and an injury that seems to be finally resolving. Hopefully we'll make it!! | |

| That sounds great Natalie! We should be making a final decision this week or next, so I'll get with you if we decide for sure we're going. If not, hopefully I'll see you at SHN. | |

| Sounds good, Pat. Entries for SHR9 are due June 5. If you make the leap to attend, just put at the bottom to stall with the Ammy Army. Remember, no qualifications necessary for Jackpot and I would say get out there and just have fun! | |

| Well, we're looking at where we're at with him. Also I have 2 mares I'm taking to Pinto World Champs and we want to take him to SHN in Sept. So we're juggling the books and robbing Peter to pay Paul and figuring out who goes to what shows. Thanks for the invite! | |

| Sue, I would bet that Granger from Magic Moments will have some babies in there. She usually does. Hopefully in a couple weeks after the entries close, we'll see some lineups posted. | |

| We came, we saw, we CONQUERED! Here's a run down on how the Ammy Army did at SHR9 this past week in Waco, Texas. Me and Psymin went Top 5 (3rd) in SHIH Stallions ATH. He also took a Top 5 with my friend Sandy Johnson on the lead in the Open SHIH Stallions class. Our friend and "Military Advisor" Di Ryan took the Reserve SHIH Stallions with her boy WH Strider. Sure Bryson took a 2nd in the 2 and under half-arab jackpot class with her gelding Elegant Golden Fox LA. Julie Rodriguez and her gelding Blackwind Shakir went Top 5 in the same half-arab Jackpot class. Jennifer Ramsey took her mom's gelding HR Celestial Badi to a Top 5 in SHIH Geldings ATH. Jennifer also rode her gelding Ataan Al-Bahaar to a Reserve Championship SHUS in the Open and ATR class. Shannon Sullivan picked up the Grand Championship in the SHUS ATR class with her stallion SMJ Gazals Merlot. The biggest thrill for me came from my 19 year old mare, NN Chantilly Lace (Psymin's dam). Chantilly and I went Grand Champion Purebred Mares SHIH Open. We then took Reserve in the ATH class. We were named the Reserve Champion of Champions Purebred with a winning GO of 75.7. That score was the 2nd highest score of ALL the pure-bred SHIH rounds. There were 44 total PB SHIH GOs. We were also awarded with a silver belt buckle for being the highest scoring Ammy Owner/Handler pair. I have never loved that old grey mare more than I did as I showed her. It didn't matter how we placed. She is such a pleasure and sweet girl to handle. I had to let her get her shot after my husband qualified her in January. She did her heritage proud as well as my heart. | |

| There was a lady that came up to us. She said "Oh this is where you all are. I heard you would be here". She also said the article in the Arabian Horse Times on the Ammy Army Scottsdale invasion was very well done. I gave her my card and hopefully she'll be touring R9 with the AA in the future. | |

| It was so Awesome to represent the Ammy Army. My half arabian mare did not ribbon but she did tie for 6th place out of a big class of 13. We had so much fun up in Waco. HUGE Congratulations to all of our top 5, Reserve and Champion winners.
I think we had more ribbons on our Ammy Army curtain than any of the trainer barns!!!!
Can't wait for our next Ammy Army get together!! | |
