Also, guys, one thing I'll have with me that can be priceless is a garment steamer! Means less ironing or trips to the dry cleaners! We always had one with us and it's great for touch-ups on riding clothes/halter suits, etc.

As long as I can get someone to take care of the horses I am planning on coming down for the last week, so if anyone is ever in need of help grooming, clipping, schooling, help on the rail, etc. feel free to grab me!

What about box seats? It would be nice to have one at Wendell and the Equidome.

That will require a PATRON PACKAGE being purchased by the Army. We were going to do that last year but ran out of time. Patron Package, I think, is $2500. So the more participants the cheaper it is per person. You get the box seats, access to the Patron's lounge, golf cart, etc...but the BIGGEST deal is that you get to sponsor a class. Can you imagine an open halter class in MR and you hear...."Arabian 3 Year Old Stallions...the class sponsored by THE AMMY ARMY"?

Well, I would be interested, if the buy-in was in the $312 to $357 range with at least seven or eight ammies in?

I am going out with KA Hanson, and showing her boy in SHIH. I am willing to help anyone with braiding, still working on buttons, etc but can do a MEAN running braid!!!
I am sooo excited and can not wait, I do not think it will kick in until I get my plane tickets to TX!!

Sorry I've been gone for a couple of days...spent it at the Harvest Fair in San Bernardino where I'm involved in Living History and 1800s reenactment...so back on board!

Jerome...it looks like the list is in good hands with your spread sheet...that's a great way to keep up with it!...I will step back then since you have it going...nice job!

I'm in for a Patronship if anyone wants to do it! I have no problem organizing it and putting it on my card if people want to send me money for it! Let's do it!

I have no problem with the Patron Package either...I just have to come up with my entry fees first...and then see what I can do after that.

OK... let's see if we can aim for keeping it around $300-350/person. Sound reasonable?

It really depends on how many people are going what the split will be...if not enough people buy into it and the cost is too high, then we nix it like last year...let's hope for lots of people going...the more people that go the cheaper the package will be!

I am hoping to make it to Scottsdale, I would love to meet you all and see this amazing show! I will not be bringing my boy, he is nowhere near ready and we are in PA. I am willing to help out anyone with grooming, tack changes, rail help, exercising, etc. (If there are any horses that need a rider I can do that too:) Hope to see you all!!!!

Remember, the earlier the Patronship is purchased, the better choice on which classes will be available for sponsorship. Does AHAA have a listing of what classes are still available on their website? I haven't looked yet ~ though someone could be point person to call and ask for a current listing.

Perhaps everyone involved in the Patronship could post which class they would like to sponsor then a vote could be taken? To be Democratic and all.

If the cost is under $150, I'd be more than happy to pitch in toward a Patronship for the AA. But at this time of year with Winter coming and the Holidays, I could not pledge more than that.

In order to have the patronship costs at $150, we'd have to get a lot of people in and contributing. Let's work on seeing what we can do! I'm in! I'm also OK with most classes. I do think since most of us currently show in halter, we should probably pick a halter class to sponsor.

We can however get box seats for $250 each arena Wendell and Equidome and $100 per sponsorship of a class.

The Patronship includes a golf cart and meals for the $2500, a $1000 deposit is required on Dec. 15 and the remainder due on Jan. 15.

I'll be there. Camera in tow for Editorial Coverage as well as conducting Photoshoots.

Since the patron package only includes 8 tickets, the price would be $312.50 PER PERSON so it can never get down to $150 per person like someone suggested. Only 4 daily lunch buffet tickets are included in the package.

It's a NO for us on the patron package.

So, that being said, does anyone want to do boxes/class sponsorship?

When you send the entries, please do not forget to add the additional charges for the hospitality room, ready room and feed room. Currently, with 6 owners we are looking at $100 per owner for the extra stalls.

We still need to discuss a budget to dress up the hospitality area and pro-rate that per owner. I am more than happy to set the whole thing up and do all the work but everybody bringing stuff from home just isnt going to work because of different arrival days. I propose that we establish a $300 budget (which is a minimum) for lumber, bark, plants, etc. With 6 owners, this is $50 per owner.

That all sounds perfectly reasonable. As I've already mailed my entries to you, and they're going on my credit card, I'll mail you a check for the difference. Should I just make it out directly to you?

That would be great, so I will add those stalls to my entries. Make the check out to Jerome StrackvanSchijndel.. (sorry I know, long last name)
