SCOTTSDALE AMMY ARMY INVASION

I'll be showing up late day Wednesday the 11th. We will be there at least through Monday the 16th. We may be later, depending on if my colt makes it through the elimination halter round. I have 1 horse stall and 1 tack stall.

I'm going to have to get 2 extra buttons. Anyone want to sell me their extras?

The following horses are now entered to show at the 54th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, 12-22 Feb 2009. They all plan on representing their owners and you, the Ammy Army membership, with dignity and honor.

Yay Yay Yay! That means my behemoth check will be cashed soon. Man, that was a hard one to write but I am sure there are many others writing MUCH larger ones than I.

Del, are there other folks from the ones you named that are stalling with us and sending entries in on their own?

I would not worry about that check for a few days:) It went out on Saturday. If Scottsdale gets in on Mon or Tue it will most likely be a week before the "get to it".

I have no information on any other Army members that are participating in Scottsdale. Perhaps some sent their entries in on their own, but if they did they did not communicate that to us. I guess we will have to keep our eyes open for other members when we get to the grounds:)

Update taken this Saturday after a 30 min. ride so forgive the mess. TF SIR PRIZE:

Add Dick Reed, Toskhara Arabains (KORDELAS), to the list of folks that I will have drop by to interact with the Army.

Oh Dick is wonderful. I emailed him when my filly got hurt and he emailed me back with all sorts of suggestions and now she's 100% sound and just full of herself!

Dick is a great guy! I'd so love to meet him in person one of these says.

56 more days until Scottsdale! I'm pumped up, and I can't wait. It will be awesome to meet all of you and your horses, and it's very exciting we will have Arabian horse celebrities coming to talk to us! Yay!

Change of plans. I am NOT going to delete the SCOTTSDALE 2009 thread as I indicated originally. I think it would be worth keeping up so that all hands can post pictures and tell stories of their experience. That way, anyone who was not involved can read about how "doable", "fun" and "necessary" this is for the breed.

I'm going to be running the video tape as soon as we hit the road. I am hauling out with my friend Ken. He owns the farm where I board my horses. My husband and mother will be flying in and out of Scottsdale (they have the life). Ken and I can get pretty foul, so who knows what is in store on the video!!

I'll have my still camera equipment as well and will at least have my husband taking photos. We'll have high speed internet at the condo so I can update the AA site in the evenings.

Last night my vehicle magnets and vinyl lettering came in! I used speedysigns.com and they were great. I now have Psymin's name to add to my trailer. He was getting upset when everyone thought he was "Chantilly Lace" - since I already had his mom's name on my trailer.

If anyone sees the posting of the SHIH GO times on the Scottsdale website, please let me know. I'm anxious waiting to see how many horses we'll be up against.

We usually get a statement with all our classes that will have the # entered. Probably won't get times until we get there.

At Scottsdale, the number entered and the number shown are not always the same. Entries are so early, DEC, that folks enter a ton of horses, not really knowing if they will take the horse. Typically many horses that were entered stay home or a scratched on the grounds. You really don't know how many folks you are showing against until the gate opens up.

Ah-ha. I see. I was just curious because they had posted on their website they were going to have that info for SH and Dressage.
